Edit, deactivate, or reactivate a Cloud Scan integration

You can update, deactivate, or reactivate a Cloud Scan integration by editing its details, or deactivating and reactivating it.

Edit a cloud integration

  1. In Smoothwall or Linewize portal, go to Admin Panel > Cloud Scan Integration.
  2. Select the integration to be edited.
  3. On the Edit Cloud Storage Integration page, update any of the following fields:

Storage Details

Microsoft 365:

  • Edit the integration’s name.
  • Check or update your Microsoft Entra ID.
  • If you’ve entered the incorrect Entra ID, sign in to the Azure portal and copy the correct Entra ID.

Google Workspace:

  • Edit the Google integration name.
  • Check or update the email address used to create the Cloud Scan user account in Google Workspace.
Tenants
  • Select All Tenants or add Selected Tenants.
  • To add a tenant, select the Tenants field, then select the tenant from the dropdown.
  • To delete a tenant, select the “x” icon on its tag.
  • You must have at least one contact for each tenant.
Groups
  • Select a new group from the dropdown or delete an existing group.
  • You must leave at least one group for each tenant.
Safeguarding Contact
  • To add a Safeguarding Contact, select the Safeguarding Contacts field then selecting the contact's name from the dropdown.
  • You can delete a contact by selecting the “x” icon on its tag.
  1. Select Save Integration. This button is inactive until all fields are complete.

Deactivate a cloud integration

Deactivating an integration lets you stop (or pause) cloud storage scanning without deleting your integration setup.

To deactivate an integration:

  1. In Smoothwall or Linewize portal, go to Admin Panel > Cloud Scan Integration.
  2. Select the cloud integration to be deactivated.
  3. Select Deactivate Integration on the bottom right of the screen.

Cloud Scan will pause scanning of your cloud storage until you reactivate the integration. The Integration Deactivated indicator will appear for the integration.

Flagged images from previous scans will remain flagged until a Safeguarding Lead has either marked them as safe or deleted them from cloud storage.

Reactivate a cloud integration

  1. In Smoothwall or Linewize portal, go to Admin Panel > Cloud Scan Integration.
  2. Select the cloud integration to be deactivated. This integration has the Integration Deactivated indicator.
  3. Select Activate Integration.

Cloud Scan will scan your cloud storage within 24 hours and notify your Safeguarding Lead of the scan results.
