You can update your Monitor schedule by editing its name and the organisation(s) it applies to, choosing different school times and days, and adding or removing non-school days.
Before you begin
Check your school’s schedule with your organisation, such as:
- New school times and days.
- Non-school days (e.g. school breaks, public holidays)
- Non-operating days (e.g. staff training days)
If you’re a multi-tenant customer, check which tenants the new or edited schedules will apply to.
Edit school name and tenants
- Go to the Smoothwall or Linewize portal > Admin Panel > Schedule Monitor.
- On the Schedule Monitor page, select the Edit icon (pencil) for the schedule you want to edit.
- In the Schedule Name field, enter a new name for the schedule.
Note
We recommend limiting your schedule name to 70 alphanumeric characters.
- Remove a tenant from the schedule by selecting “x” on its tag, or add a new tenant by selecting it from the dropdown.
- Select Save schedule at the bottom-right of the screen.
- On the confirmation pop-up, select Yes, save and notify.
Monitor will save your changes and notify your Safeguarding, Limited Safeguarding, and IT Contacts via email.
Edit school time and days
Editing your school time and days will change when Monitor actively monitors devices at your organisation.
- Go to the Smoothwall or Linewize portal > Admin Panel > Schedule Monitor.
- On the Schedule Monitor page, select the Edit icon (pencil) for the schedule you want to edit.
- Under School Time and Days:
- Check or select a new Time Zone. Time zone defaults to your current location.
- Select a new Start Time and End Time from the dropdown.
- Select or deselect days.
- Select Save schedule at the bottom-right of the screen.
- On the confirmation pop-up, select Yes, save and notify.
Monitor will save your changes and notify your Safeguarding, Limited Safeguarding, and IT Contacts via email.
Edit or delete non-school days
Non-school days are optional. If you don't add non-school days, Monitor will continue monitoring users’ devices during these days.
To edit or delete non-school days:
- Go to the Smoothwall or Linewize portal > Admin Panel > Schedule Monitor.
- On the Schedule Monitor page, select the Edit icon (pencil) for the schedule you want to edit.
- Under Non-school days, you can delete or edit non-school days.
To delete non-school days:
- Select the Delete icon (bin) for the non-school days you want to remove.
- Select Save schedule.
- On the confirmation pop-up, select Yes, save and notify.
To edit non-school days:
- Select the Edit icon (pencil) for the relevant non-school days.
- The row will change into a form where you can enter a new name and select new start and end dates.
- Select the Save icon (disk) to save your changes.
- Select Save schedule.
- On the pop-up, select Yes, save and notify.
Monitor will save your changes and notify your Safeguarding, Limited Safeguarding, and IT Contacts by email.
