Events are categorised as Bullying/Violence when the moderator observes content being used to:

  • Intimidate, threaten or harass others online
  • Encourage others to exclude individuals
  • Shame, humiliate or embarrass an individual by posting visual or text content
  • Repeatedly engage in the public abuse or malicious criticism of others

The risk levels are identified as follows.

Level Reason
1

Has made a mildly personal abusive comment once in recent history.

2

Has made a seriously abusive comment that didn’t contain physical threats once in recent history;

OR Has made mildly personal abusive comments several times in recent history.

3

Has made a hateful or prejudiced statement against others on the basis of race, religion, nationality, sexuality, physical appearance or intelligence once in recent history;

OR Has made seriously abusive comments that didn’t contain physical threats several times in recent history;

OR Has made mildly personal abusive comments regularly in recent history.

Has made a physically threatening statement once in recent history;

OR Has made hateful or prejudiced statements against others on the basis of race, religion, nationality, sexuality, physical appearance or intelligence several times in recent history;

OR Regularly makes seriously abusive comments that didn’t contain physical threats in recent history;

OR Frequently makes mildly personal abusive comments in recent history.

Has made physically threatening statements several times in recent history;

OR Regularly makes hateful or prejudiced statements against others based on race, religion, nationality, sexuality, physical appearance or intelligence in recent history;

OR Frequently makes seriously abusive comments that didn’t contain physical threats in recent history.
