There’s an error in my cloud integration setup. Can I edit my setup?
Yes, you can go back and edit your Cloud Scan integration setup by going to Smoothwall or Linewize Portal > Admin Panel > Cloud Storage Integration. Select the integration and make the necessary updates. See Managing Cloud Integrations.
I want to add another cloud integration, but the “Set up Integration” button is inactive.
You must complete setting up all cloud integrations before starting another. This includes completing your first cloud scan. See our cloud integration guides for Google Workspace and Microsoft 365.
Can I pause scanning of cloud storage without deleting cloud integration?
You can temporarily pause cloud scanning by deactivating cloud integration. This won’t delete or deactivate your Google or Microsoft setup.
To deactivate a cloud integration, open your cloud integration and select Deactivate Integration on the lower right of the screen. When you’re ready to restart scanning of your cloud storage, open your deactivated cloud integration and select Activate Integration. Scanning will resume within 24 hours.

What caused my cloud storage scanning to fail?
Scanning fails when your cloud storage revokes your integration’s permission. To fix this issue, see Authorise access to Google cloud storage or Authorise access to Microsoft 365.
How often does Monitor scan cloud storage?
Cloud Scan will schedule the initial scan of your cloud storage within 24 hours of completing your cloud integration setup. Afterwards, it will scan your cloud storage once each day.
Who can see the scan results?
Only the Safeguarding Contacts you’ve added during cloud integration setup can see the scan results, and they can only see the scan results for the tenants they have been assigned to.
You can add or remove Safeguarding Contacts. However, you must have at least one Safeguarding Contact for each tenant. See Step 2: Configure the integration for Google Workspace and Microsoft 365.
Can I manually start a cloud scan if I suspect there are unsafe images in our cloud storage?
No. Scanning starts automatically on the schedule set by Cloud Scan.
Does Cloud Scan detect unsafe images that users upload with their personal devices, like mobile phones or tablets?
Yes. Cloud Scan detects unsafe images regardless of the device used to upload them to the cloud storage.
Can I set up cloud integration for both Google Workspace and Microsoft 365?
Yes, you can set up both Google and Microsoft cloud integrations.
