This article is for Safeguarding Contacts.
The Dashboard displays a summary of the Events by type starting from 00:00 the most recent Monday in your time zone. You can change the start and end dates or time to view an earlier Activity. The Dashboard helps you measure changes in the amount and types of risky behaviour among your users.
View a Summary of Activity
You can compare if the number of Events goes up or down throughout the school year. For example, an effective outreach program may result in fewer Events on the Dashboard in the following weeks.
- Select Dashboard on the top navigation.
You can select the name of an Event Type by going to the Events page and viewing a list of the individual users’ Events for your selection.
The ratio of Event Types are displayed in a circle graph to the right of subtotals.
- You can view past Events by changing one or both:
- The earliest date in From
- The latest date in To
The selected dates will remain active when you switch between your Dashboard page and Events page.
You can refresh your browser and return to the Dashboard page to clear the date range.
- Monitor displays subtotals of the Users, Devices, and Captures when you select a date range that includes any previous week of Activity:
A count of the number of users with one or more Events logged during the date range.
For example, if you see a growth in the number of users, go to the Events page and export the list as a text file. You can organise the list in a spreadsheet to identify the age group, timing, and Event Type. You may be able to reach out to a group of users who are sharing bad advice about online activities.
A count of users’ Devices with activities logged in Events.
For example, if you see a significantly larger number of Devices than users, you may have users trying to access risky material from shared computers in the library or computer lab. You can open individual Events and copy the technical details (the Hostname from the Contextual Capture). Ask your IT Contact where the Devices may be located.
Displays the total number of screenshots or text added to Contextual Captures in all of the user’s Events during the selected date range.
For example, if you see a large number of Captures compared to the number of users, you may have a few users with high numbers of Captures. Your team can review the individual user’s Events and provide support.
