Stop Cloud Scan scanning previous students

Cloud Scan detects new group assignments from your Management Information System (MIS) and scans only the cloud storage of the students in the integration groups.

If Cloud Scan is scanning previous students, check if:

1. Your MIS is syncing previous students into groups that Cloud Scan targets
2. Cloud Scan is targeting a group that contains previous students.

To stop Cloud Scan from scanning your previous students’ cloud storage:

1. Check the target groups for Cloud Scan and remove any previous students.
2. Configure cloud integration groups in your MIS. Cloud Scan only scans the cloud storage owned by members of these groups.
3. Assign students to the cloud integration groups and ensure their memberships do not default to “All Students”.
4. Sync your data.
