School violence covers threats to the school community. This category is handled differently from broader violent content, which is aimed at the general community.

Risk LevelDescription

The user has expressed general frustration or anger towards school, teachers, or classmates, or has made casual, insensitive remarks about school safety or rules in a joking context.

The user has expressed intense, targeted resentment towards a school, its staff, or its student body.

The user has sought details on other school shootings or public attacks, without a clear academic or benign reason.

The user:

  • Issued a low-level threat of interpersonal violence (for example, a fistfight) on school grounds.
  • Researched, praised, or shared content that idolizes past school shootings or attacks.

The user:

  • Made an explicit, direct threat to commit severe violence or a mass-casualty event at a school, including bomb threats, shooting threats, naming specific targets for severe harm, or announcing an active attack.
  • Offered active encouragement or rewards for others' attacks on schools, including league tables or ratings.
