Suicide, mental health, and abuse refer to:

Discussions, searches, or expressions relating to self-harm or suicide, including behaviors related to self-injury and eating disorders.
Expressions of persistent negativity, hopelessness, or self-hatred and concerns in relation to panic attacks.
Incidents showing the user is a victim of harmful behaviors and is showing signs of distress.
Disclosures or discussions of current or past abuse and neglect.
Content indicating the user has imminent plans to run away from home.

Risk Level	Description
1	The user has engaged in low-level negative self-talk (for example, writing ‘I hate the way I look’).
2	The user: Has recently made statements that conveyed hating life or feeling low or depressed, without credible talk of being suicidal. Has researched information or asked a chatbot about their mental health, including anxiety, depression, or disordered eating, without indicating current distress or that they are unsafe.
3	The user: Talks credibly about feeling suicidal or about self-harm without making specific threats. Conducted detailed research into preventative harm helplines or statistics unrelated to identifiable school-related research. Discusses anxiety or panic attacks that do not appear to be current issues. Discusses eating disorders or body image issues that do not appear to be current issues or to be causing the user distress.
4	The user: Admits to, or discusses, being at significant risk of harm in the future. Has recently suffered some form of harm. Discusses or seeks information about eating disorders, crash diets, or extreme body modification, which appear to be current or ongoing. Discusses or seeks information about anxiety or panic attacks that are currently ongoing or causing the user distress.
5	The user: Admits to or discusses being at imminent risk of harm requiring immediate intervention. This includes self-harm or being harmed by another person. Appears to be experiencing a panic attack and does not indicate they are safe, supervised, or supported. Note A Level 5 alert in this category will prompt phone calls to Safeguarding Contacts.
