Install Monitor

This article describes the requirements for deploying or installing Monitor across various platforms.

Before you begin

You must be an IT Contact in Monitor.
Your device must meet Monitor’s minimum system requirements.
If you use a firewall or filtering system other than Linewize, allow these domains.

1. Secure copies of your Unique Organization ID and UNCL Serial ID.

Your Monitor version	Steps
Monitor 2.0	Go to Settings > Configuration. Select Config on your organization’s row. In the Configure [School Name] panel on the right, select the copy icons for Organization ID and UNCL serial.
Legacy Monitor	In Monitor > Organizations, select Edit on your organization’s tile. Select Licensing information on the left navigation menu. Select the Copy icons next to the UNCL serial and Organization ID codes.

2. Download the Monitor client installer.

Monitor 2.0

Go to Settings > Configuration and select Config for your organization.
Under Install Monitor clients, expand the relevant operating system.
Download the installer to your folder.

Legacy Monitor

(For Windows 64-bit devices only)

In Monitor > Organizations, select Edit on your organization’s tile.
Select Clients on the left navigation menu.
Select the Operating System.
Select Get and download the installer to your folder.

Both

Go to the Smoothwall Product Download page.
Under Monitor client, select the installer for your device and save it to your folder.

Note

If you downloaded the Windows installer, unzip the file, then run the installer for your device.
